Salisbury University National Champions

The defining achievement for any student-athlete is being named a national champion. Salisbury University is recognized as one of the most competitive intercollegiate athletics programs in the country and has celebrated 17 Division III team national championships in just over two decades dating back to 1986.

Most recently, the Sea Gulls won the 2013 NCAA Division III women's lacrosse championship in Owings Mills, Md., on May 19, 2013. Salisbury defeated Trinity College (Conn.), 12-5, to claim the program's second national title.

The other national championship programs are SU field hockey and men's lacrosse.

Salisbury University has had its share of individual national champions as well. From 1978 through today, the Sea Gulls have boasted 11 individual champions, six in the track & field program and five in the now-defunct wrestling program.
