Baseball stays at No. 10 in poll and moves up to No. 11 in ABCA poll

SALISBURY, Md. - The organizations and the American Baseball Coaches Association released their week 11 Top 25 polls Tuesday afternoon. Salisbury University baseball was recognized by both and the ABCA earning the No. 10 ranking in the poll and the No. 11 ranking in the ABCA poll.

The Sea Gulls had a week off but managed to move up one spot in the ABCA poll coming in at 11 this week up from 12 in last week's poll. They remained at No. 10 in the poll this week marking the second straight week the maroon and gold have been in the top 10.

LeGrange College (Ga.) remained the top team in the nation in both polls as it boasts a 38-4 overall record. University of Wisconsin at Whitewater enters this week as the No. 2 team in the nation in the ABCA poll while University of Texas at Tyler comes in at No. 3. Johns Hopkins University is No. 4 and Birmingham Southern College (Ala.) rounds out the top five dropping three spots from last week to No. 5.

In the poll the top five looks slightly different from the No. 2 spot down. Johns Hopkins earned the No. 2 ranking this week while Wisconsin-Whitewater is No. 3. State University of New York at Cortland moves up three spots from seven to No. 4 this week and Birmingham-Southern rounds out the top five just as in the ABCA poll.

Salisbury will now await the NCAA selection to find out where it will be sent for the 2017 NCAA Tournament.
