SALISBURY, Md. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and D3baseball.com released its latest national poll for the week ending on April 8, and the Salisbury University baseball team came in at No. 24.
The Sea Gulls (18-7) have rallied off eight straight victories over the past two weeks to help launch them into the national rankings. They have posted a run differential of +54 during that timeframe.
Trinity (Texas) University received 20 of the possible 25 first-place votes to remain atop the rankings. The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater received the five remaining first-place votes to jump up one spot to No. 2. Wooster College, Concordia University-Chicago, and Christopher Newport University rounded out the top five.
Salisbury will travel to Capital Athletic Conference rival Wesley College on Tuesday, April 10. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
