DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference released weekly baseball awards for the week ending April 22. Salisbury University baseball senior pitcher Connor Reeves earned recognition from the organization being named ECAC Baseball Division III South Pitcher of the Week.
Reeves picked up two wins in two appearances for the Sea Gulls last week. In a start against Marymount (Va.) University on Wednesday, April 18, Reeves tossed a complete game, while allowing only one run on five hits and striking out 11 batters.
Reeves entered a tied game against York College of Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 21 and pitched 2 1/3 perfect innings, striking out two batters. The Sea Gulls scored three runs in the ninth inning to hand Reeves his second win in four days.
On the season, Reeves has tossed 84 2/3 innings, complied a 1.49 earned run average, and holds a 10-3 record. His 10 wins currently has him in a two-way tie atop that category in all of Division III baseball.
Salisbury returns to action on Thursday, April 26 when it hosts Drew University. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
