Video: Baseball vs Neumann

Mar 9, 2018

The Salisbury University baseball team returned to action on Friday afternoon, hosting the Knights of Neumann University. Jack Barry made his college debut as a starting pitcher and made the most of it, striking out nine batters through five innings. Center fielder Justin Meekins helped out his teammate in the top of the fourth inning, making this sliding catch on a ball that looked to be headed towards the gap for extra bases. Barry helped himself out in the bottom of the inning, knocking this pitch to the right field gap for an rbi ground-rule double. Colby Dean led the sea gulls offensively, going 4-for-4 on the day, including this 2-RBI triple into the right field gap. The sea gulls would go on to defeat the Knights, 12-5. The team returns to action on Saturday, March 10 when it hosts a doubleheader against the SUNY Alfred Pioneers. Game one is set to begin at 11 a.m.
