Baseball moves up to No. 10 in latest D3baseball.com/NCBWA poll; jumps to No. 12 in ABCA poll

SALISBURY, Md. – D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association released their weekly rankings on Tuesday morning, and Salisbury University continued to be recognized by both organizations, breaking through into the top 10 at No. 10 in the D3baseball.com poll while moving up a spot to No. 12 in the ABCA poll.

The Sea Gulls (27-6-1) had a quiet weekend due to the postponement of its series at Capital Athletic Conference opponent St. Mary's University of Maryland, but won both of its contests from earlier in the week. The team defeated Penn State University-Abington at home on Tuesday, 9-1, before taking an 11-7 road victory over Neumann University on Wednesday.

CAC opponent Christopher Newport University (27-4) continues to hold the No. 2 ranking in both polls for the third consecutive week despite dropping a game to conference rival Penn State University-Harrisburg on Sunday, 18-13.

The team returns to action this afternoon when it closes out its series at St. Mary's (Md.) with a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
