Geisert named ACFC Special Teams Player of the Week

SALISBURY, Md. - Salisbury University senior punter Andrew Geisert (White Plains, Md.) was named ACFC (Atlantic Central Football Conference) Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 2. This is the second time this season that Geisert has been named ACFC Special Teams Player of the Week, as he received the honor back on Sept. 14.

Geisert booted the ball five times for the Sea Gulls (4-4, 1-1 ACFC) in their 30-12 loss to Wesley College on Saturday afternoon. Geisert's punts totaled 190 yards total on the day, including a 53 yard punt. Geisert pinned two punts inside the 20 yard line, forcing the Wolverines to start close to their own endzone.

The Sea Gulls will head to Hampden-Sydney College this weekend, their final road game of the season, with a contest against the Tigers. The meeting will be the first between the two teams in 19 years as HSC pinned a 38-30 decision over SU on Oct. 27, 1990.
