Cynewski named to U.S. All Star team for 2009 Tazon de Estrellas
GRANBURY, Texas - Senior Paul Cynewski (Moorestown, N.J.) may not play another football game directly for Salisbury University, but he will have one more chance to represent the Sea Gulls in a collegiate game. On Wednesday the defensive end was named to the provisional 51-man roster for the 2009 Tazón de Estrellas (Bowl of Stars), to be played on Dec. 19 in Atizapan de Zaragoza near Mexico City.
The game will feature Team Stars & Stripes, a team of Division III All-Stars from the United States, against the Tec Monterrey All Stars. Tec Monterrey is the premier private university system in Mexico, with campuses in numerous locations around the country. Tec teams have captured eight of the past 10 Liga Major football national championships.
