PITMAN, N.J. – The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its weekly football awards and Salisbury University senior Aarron Moore was named the league's Special Teams Player of the Week.
Moore opened Salisbury's 77-19 win at William Paterson University this past Saturday with an 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. It marked the second time this season that Salisbury has started a game with a kick return for a score.
The return was the only special teams touch that Moore had on the day, but he also found the end zone on offense, garnering a pair of carries, including a 5-yard touchdown run.
This season, Moore has returned nine kickoffs for an average of 34.4 yards per return.
Moore and the Sea Gulls are home on Saturday, October 22, hosting Kean University at Sea Gull Stadium, with kickoff slated for 1 p.m.
