DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) released weekly honors for the week ending October 16. Salisbury special teams standout, senior Aarron Moore, was honored as the ECAC South Special Teams Player of the Week. This is the second special team award Moore has received this week, as he was named NJAC Special Teams Player of the Week on October 17 as well.
Moore got the Sea Gulls off to a quick start this past weekend at William Paterson with an 80-yard opening kickoff return for a touchdown en route to a 77-19 victory. It marked the second time this season that Salisbury has started a game with a kickoff return for a touchdown, the other being the home opener against AlbrightCollege on September 2.
Moore scored his second touchdown of the day when he scampered in from five yards out to put the Sea Gulls up 63-19 in the third quarter.
For the season, Moore has returned nine kickoffs and is averaging 34.4 yards per return.
Moore and Salisbury return to action on October 22 when they welcome Kean University to Sea Gull Stadium. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 1 p.m.
