Three earn All-ECAC football honors

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference released its 2018 Division III Football All-ECAC Teams on Monday morning and Salisbury University had three players earn recognition from the organization as Kadarrius Campbell, Patrick Bernardo, and Sean Carroll all earned second-team honors.

Campbell earned second-team offensive honors after he turned in an impressive senior season finishing the year as the maroon and gold's leading rusher. He racked up 855 yards on 141 carries while averaging 6.1 yards per carry and finding the end zone, a team-best, 10 times. This is Campbell's second postseason accolade as he was named to the All-New Jersey Athletic Conference First Team as well.

Both Bernardo and Carroll landed on the All-ECAC Second Team Defense after respectable seasons at their positions. Bernardo finished the regular season as the team's leading tackler, racking up 72 total tackles including 33 solo tackles from his linebacker position. He also added in two sacks, four tackles for loss, a forced fumble, four fumble recoveries, and an interception.

Carroll was a key member of the Sea Gull secondary that allowed just 180.5 pass yards per game. He finished his sophomore campaign with 61 total tackles including 35 solo, one and a half tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and a team-high five interceptions. Both players were also all-conference players as Bernardo earned first-team accolades while Carroll received honorable mention.
