CHANDLER, Ariz. – The National Field Hockey Coaches' Association released its most recent Penn Monto/NFHCA Division III Coaches' Poll on Tuesday and the Salisbury University field hockey team held on to its No. 4 ranking.
The top-five teams in the country remain unchanged; all went undefeated over the last week. Messiah College (943 points, 40 first-place votes) held the top spot, followed closely by Bowdoin College (907 points, six first-place votes) and Middlebury College (856 points, three first-place votes).
The Sea Gulls (8-1, 1-0 Capital Athletic Conference) earned 778 points, putting them solidly ahead of No. 5 Franklin & Marshall College, which earned 655 points.
Salisbury welcomes Catholic University of America to Sea Gull Stadium tomorrow, Wednesday, October 5 for a 6 p.m. game.
