Windsor earns NFHCA, ECAC Defensive Player of the Week honors

SALISBURY, Md. – The awards continue to come in for Salisbury University field hockey goalkeeper Tressie Windsor. Following a two shutout week, Windsor was named the National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Defensive Player of the Week, and the Eastern College Athletic Conference South Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday.

Last week, Windsor stopped nine shots in a 3-0 win against then No. 16 York College of Pennsylvania before turning away 10 tries by the University of Mary Washington in a 5-0 victory. The save totals were the two highest of her career, as she recorded her fourth and fifth shutouts of the year.

Earlier this week, Windsor was named the Capital Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts.

Windsor and the No. 7 Sea Gulls host St. Mary's College of Maryland on Wednesday, October 25 beginning at 6 p.m., at Sea Gull Stadium.
