Vann named CAC Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week for third time

YORK, Pa. – Salisbury University senior guard Travon Vann has been named CAC Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week for the third time this season, the league announced Monday.

Vann averaged 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and five assists per game, shooting 58 percent (10-for-17) from the field in leading the Sea Gulls to the top of the CAC standings with a pair of conference victories over York (Pa.) College and the University of Mary Washington.

Vann scored 22 points on 7-of-9 shooting in a 61-58 win at York on Wednesday, including the game-winning basket off a steal in the final minute of the game.

Vann then fell just short of a triple-double, with 13 points, nine rebounds and nine assists and three steals, in Saturday's victory over the Eagles that kept SU as the only undefeated team in CAC play this season.

Vann also earned back-to-back CAC weekly honors on Nov. 19 and 26.

Salisbury (12-4, 3-0 CAC) hosts Wesley College this Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
