Second-annual Teddy Bear Toss set for Wednesday night

SALISBURY, Md. – The second-annual Teddy Bear Toss will take place on Wednesday night at Maggs Physical Activities Center, with the donations going to Toys for Tots.

Fans are asked to bring a new stuffed animal to the basketball doubleheader against St. Mary's College of Maryland, which will be donated to Toys for Tots, but at halftime of the men's game fans will be able to attempt to toss their donation from the stands into a bin located in the middle of the floor.

If a fan is able to make the shot, they will win a flat-screen television. If multiple fans make the shot, there will be a shoot-off to determine the winner.

Arrive early, to allow time to tag your entry for identification in the event that you are the winner.

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

The men's game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m., and is part of a Capital Athletic Conference doubleheader with the women's game beginning at 5:30 p.m. Both Sea Gull teams have gotten off to hot starts to the 2016-17 schedule, with the women winning three of their first four games and the men's record is unblemished through four contests.
