MINNEAPOLIS – The Salisbury University men's basketball team continues to climb in the national rankings, cracking the top 10 in the latest D3hoops.com poll, which was released on Monday afternoon.
Salisbury picked up 390 points in this week's poll to jump five spots and reach No. 10 in the country. The Sea Gulls (7-0, 3-0 Capital Athletic Conference) made the move following a week in which the team won its only game, 88-64, at Southern Virginia University this past Saturday.
Salisbury is now just six points behind No. 9 Tufts University and less than 100 points out of the top five.
The move sets up a top-10 showdown between Salisbury and No. 5 Christopher Newport University, which meet on Saturday, December 17 in Maggs Physical Activities Center. That contest is slated to begin at 4 p.m., and no admission will be charged for the game.
