YORK, Pa. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly award winners for basketball on Monday and Salisbury University senior Wyatt Smith earned the league's Player of the Week on the men's side.
This is the second award this season for Smith, who previously was named the Player of the Week on December 5.
In a pair of CAC victories this past week, Smith averaged a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds per game. He scored 19 points to go with 11 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the season against Penn State University-Harrisburg last Wednesday, while also notching three blocks and a pair of assists. Against Southern Virginia University, the senior scored 17 and pulled in nine rebounds.
Smith and the Sea Gulls close out the regular season with a pair of road games this week, beginning with an 8 p.m., contest at St. Mary's College of Maryland on Wednesday, February 15.
