The Salisbury University men’s basketball team closed its regular season hosting Southern Virginia University. The Sea Gulls picked up a 78-64 victory behind Chad Barcikowski’s team-high 25 points. Barcikowski totaled 15 of his 25 points in the first half going 6-of-11 from the field while also knocking down two long balls and was the only member of the maroon and gold to net double-digit points in the opening 20 minutes of action. He completed his afternoon going 10-of-17 from the field and knocked down four three-pointers to help lead the team to the 14-point victory. It is Barcikowski’s seventh 20-point of the season. He also added a team-high three blocks and totaled three steals to chip in the defensive effort. Blair Davis finished the game with 16 points on a 60 percent clip from the field and going 2-of-2 from behind the arc. He netted 10 of his total points in the second half. Salisbury returns to action on Tuesday, February 20 when it hosts Wesley College in the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament. Tip-off between the third seeded Sea Gulls and sixth seeded Wolverines is scheduled for 7 p.m.
