Clarke, Bollhorst named finalists for Preseason Players of the Year
BALTIMORE - Ryan Clarke and Katie Bollhorst, both senior midfielders, of the Salisbury University men's and women's lacrosse teams are finalists in the voting for NCAA Division III Preseason Player of the Year for their respective sport.
Both student-athletes are coming off of seasons in which they helped lead their teams to the Division III National Championship game, and they are coming into the 2013 season as two of the top returners for their teams.
Bollhorst produced her best statistical season in 2012 by leading the Sea Gull women's team in assists (72) and points (121). She also ranked third on the team with 49 goals.
The reigning Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year currently ranks seventh and fourth in program history for most points (194) and most assists (109), respectively. She was named to the All-CAC first team and a first-team All-American in 2012.
