Men's lacrosse ranked No. 3 in Lacrosse Magazine preseason poll

BALTIMORE - Lacrosse Magazine released its 2013 NCAA Division III preseason rankings on Thursday, and the Salisbury University men's lacrosse team will enter 2013 ranked No. 3 after a 2012 season in which it won the program's 10th national championship in an undefeated 23-0 season.

The Sea Gulls are joined in the top-five by No. 1 State University of New York at Cortland, No. 2 Stevenson University, No. 4 Tufts University and No. 5 Rochester Institute of Technology.

As the defending national champions, with last year's 14-10 victory over Cortland at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., the Gulls enter the season on a 30-game winning streak.

This season, the team will look to an abundance of new faces to lead the charge as the Gulls graduated 18 seniors in 2012.

Salisbury will begin its title defense on Feb. 10 against Greensboro College at Sea Gull Stadium.
