BALTIMORE - The Salisbury University men's lacrosse team fell to the No. 10 spot in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Division III coaches' poll, the organization announced on Monday.
Salisbury received 195 points, 22 points clear of No. 11 Denison University.
The Sea Gulls have opened their season, splitting the first four games of their schedule. SU defeated Greensboro College in its season opener and added its second victory this past Saturday with a 7-5 win over Widener University.
State University of New York at Cortland moves up from No. 2 to No. 1 with 389 points, just 10 points ahead of No. 2 Stevenson University, which also moved up one spot. The remainder of the top five is No. 3 Lynchburg College, No. 4 Tufts University and No. 5 Cabrini College.
Lynchburg made the biggest jump in the poll, moving from No. 9 into the top five, after defeating the Sea Gulls in the second game of the season.
The Sea Gulls will be back in action on Wednesday as they travel to McDaniel College; the game is set to start at 3:30 p.m.
