Men's lacrosse remains perched at top of national polls

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's lacrosse team remains ranked as the top team in the national according to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association and rankings released on Monday.

The Sea Gulls remain unblemished with three victories as each poll released its first rankings of the season this week. The team's three wins have come against Methodist University (21-2), Lynchburg College (9-8), and Montclair State University (9-7).

In the USILA poll, the Gulls garner the top spot with 379 points and 18-of-19 first-place votes. To finish off the top five in the poll is Rochester Institute of Technology with the remaining first-place vote and 347 points, Tufts University with 345 points, Ithaca College with 318 points, and York College of Pennsylvania with 284 points.

In the ranking, Salisbury is followed by Ithaca, Tufts, RIT, and St. Lawrence University.

Salisbury's next contest will come against No. 6 Gettysburg College at Sea Gull Stadium on Saturday, February 25. That game is set for 1 p.m.
