SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's lacrosse team hosts Capital Athletic Conference opponent University of Mary Washington on Saturday, March 18, at 1 p.m., and both teams will look to unite the community for the eight annual Lax 4 Leukemia Youth Day.
Last year's popular silent auction will be back. The auction begins at noon, one hour prior to the game. The auction will conclude following the end of the third quarter and winners will be announced during the fourth quarter. All proceeds will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The Salisbury men's lacrosse program has also invited many youth organizations from the surrounding area to attend the game. All youth players will receive free admission if they wear their jersey. Each youth team will be recognized over the public address system and can enjoy an autograph session with the Salisbury men's lacrosse team following the game.
The Sea Gulls have set a goal to raise $8,500 during the event. Anyone who would like to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society can send checks -- made out to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Maryland -- to the Salisbury University men's lacrosse office, attention Knute Kraus.
