Warren picks up second straight CAC Defensive Player of the Week award

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference released weekly honors on Monday afternoon and for the second week in a row Salisbury University men's lacrosse sophomore goalie Brandon Warren was named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Warren helped lead the Sea Gulls to their fifth-straight victory in the Charles B. Clark Cup on March 17 in a thrilling 7-6 OT game over Washington College. Warren made a career-high 12 saves including nine in the second half while also scooping up three groundballs and finishing with a save percentage of 66.7.

For the season Warren has three wins through the first three starts of his career, a goals against average of 5.26, a save percentage of 62.5, which ranks him top in the CAC, and has totaled 25 saves thus far.

Salisbury returns to action on Saturday, March 24 when it opens CAC play on the road at No. 2 York College of Pennsylvania. The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
