PERRY, N.Y. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its latest Division III coaches' poll on Monday and the Salisbury University men's lacrosse team remained at No. 7 in the nation.
The Sea Gulls earned 262 points, standing just 29 points behind No. 6 Wesleyan (Conn.) University, following a two-win week in which they topped Marymount (Va.) University and Frostburg State University.
The top four teams remained the same from a week ago with Rochester Institute of Technology remaining the unanimous top team with 380 points and all 20 first-place votes followed by York College of Pennsylvania (352 points), Gettysburg College (339), and Amherst College (328). Tufts University moved up one spot, switching with Wesleyan, to sit at No. 5 with 292 points.
Salisbury and York are joined in the poll by Christopher Newport University representing the Capital Athletic Conference. The Captains held at No. 16 with 97 points.
The Sea Gulls close out the regular season on Tuesday, April 24 hosting St. Mary's College of Maryland in a CAC showdown beginning at 7 pm at Sea Gull Stadium.
