Men's Lacrosse vs. No. 15 Stevenson
The number eight ranked Salisbury University topped rival No. 15 Stevenson University, 9-7, on Saturday afternoon in a hard fought back-and-forth battle. The Sea Gulls used a two goal fourth quarter while shutting out the Mustangs to earn the two-goal victory and move to 5-2 on the season. Garret Reynolds led the Sea Gull offense tallying a team-high five goals including four first half markers to help in the victory. For the season Reynolds has found the net 22 times which not only leads the team but also the Capital Athletic Conference. Reynolds capped his afternoon with this impressive goal getting the defender to bite on a hard fake and fire a bounce shot past Stevenson goalkeeper Sam Ross. Corey Gwin also posted a multi-goal game netting two including the first of the game to level the score at one apiece. He then tallied the game winner in the fourth quarter bringing his season total to 16 ranking him second on the team. Emory Wongus continued his successful week tallying a goal and an assist bringing his week total to four goals and five total points. Brandon Warren anchored a strong defensive performance making six saves while Troy Miller posted a team-high four ground balls and three caused turnovers. Salisbury returns to action on Saturday, March 17 when it hosts Washington College. Face-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
