BOSTON – Major League Lacrosse hosted its first of two supplemental drafts this fall leading up to the 2019 season. Former Salisbury University defenseman Will Nowesnick was among 150 players selected to earn the right to play at the next level as he was selected by the Ohio Machine.
Nowesnick completed his career for the maroon and gold last spring and was a four-year member of the program, appearing in 88 games with 80 career starts. He totaled 192 groundballs, caused 132 turnovers, and also racked up four total points scoring two goals and tallying two assists.
Nowesnick was a three-time First Team All-Capital Athletic Conference selection while also being named an All-American three times in his career, earning second-team honors in 2016 and first-team honors in 2017 and 2018.
There were more than 1,600 players in the MLL player pool. Each of the nine MLL teams will be releasing additional details surrounding their Supplemental Draft selections and signings.
