Melton named to second straight USILA Team of the Week

LOUISVILLE – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association announced its Division III Team of the Week on Wednesday morning and Salisbury University junior attackman Josh Melton picked up the honor of the second straight week.

Melton had a career day in Salisbury's only game of the week, an 18-3 win against State University of New York at Geneseo on Saturday afternoon. Melton registered a career-best 11 points in the game, scoring five goals and dishing out six assists.

This season, Melton has scored 28 goals, which are second on the team, and his 50 points and 22 assists are tops on he team. Meanwhile, his total points and assists rank second and third in the Capital Athletic Conference.

Melton and the Sea Gulls return to action on Wednesday at No. 6 Cabrini University. That contest will begin at 7 p.m.
