Warren and Pompea named to USILA Team of the Week

LOUISVILLE – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association announced its Division III Team of the Week and a pair of Salisbury University standouts were named to the squad.

Senior midfielder Zach Pompea and junior goalkeeper Brandon Warren were selected for recognition following a two-win week for the Sea Gulls.

Pompea scored the 100th point of his career in a 15-3 win against the University of Mary Washington scoring a team-high four goals in the Capital Athletic Conference-opening win. In the team's 13-5 win against then-No. 6 Cabrini, Pompea scored once and chipped in with a team-best four assists.

Warren anchored the Salisbury defense, registering 11 saves in the team's win against Cabrini – marking his fourth double-digit save contest of the year – before making five stops in the win against Mary Washington.

The Sea Gulls return to action this Saturday, April 6 at Frostburg State University as they continue CAC play.
