HIGHLIGHT VIDEO: No 2 Salisbury vs. No. 6 Gettysburg

The second ranked Salisbury University men’s lacrosse team rolled to a convincing 17-10 victory over number six Gettysburg College at Sea Gull Stadium on Saturday, February 23. The Sea Gulls got an impressive offensive showing from multiple players with three members turning in hat trick performances as Zach Pompea and Corey Gwin each netted four goals while Tyler Snyder netted three. Both Snyder and Gwin each would tie for the team-high in points for the afternoon with six points. Pompea’s four goals are a career-high for the senior midfielder while it marked the fourth time in Gwin’s career that he has netted four markers or better in a contest for the maroon and gold. Meanwhile for Snyder it was his second straight outing with three goals and is the third time in his career that he has posted a hat trick performance. Overall, eight different players found the net for the maroon and gold on the afternoon with Cross Ferrara netting two while Raamah Harcum found the net for the second straight game this season. Brandon Warren finished the game with seven saves while Brett Malamphy won 14-of-24 faceoffs and scooped up a team-best nine groundballs. Salisbury returns to action on Sunday, March 3 when it hosts No. 15 Ohio Wesleyan University. Faceoff between the Sea Gulls and Battling Bishops is set for 12 p.m. at Sea Gull Stadium.
