YORK, Pa. - Senior forward Adrian Tombini of the Salisbury University men's soccer team was named the Capital Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Tombini was Salisbury's leading scorer with four points on two goals in the team's wins over Wesley College and St. Mary's (Md.) College, scoring one goal in each game, this week.
He took six shots during the week and all of them were on target. The goal against St. Mary's came in the second half and proved to be the winner in the 2-1 victory.
Tombini's offensive spark helped the Sea Gulls score six goals during the week.
Salisbury (10-4-2, 5-0-1 CAC) will be back in action on Wednesday as it travels to Catholic University of America for its final regular-season game; kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
