The Salisbury University men’s soccer team earned its fifth consecutive win, defeating Washington College 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon. Ryan Spadin led the Sea Gull offense with three shots in the first half, including this shot that the Shoremen goalkeeper turned away with a diving save. The Sea Gulls outshot the Shoremen 18-6 in the game, including 12-3 in the second half. Trent Hofmeister recorded the game-winner in the 81st minute after he put away the rebound following Kevin Eriksen’s free kick that bounced off the crossbar. Salisbury recorded its fourth shutout of the season as Trevor Brookhart needed to make just two saves in the win. The Sea Gulls hit the road to face Misericordia University on Saturday, September 15, with kickoff scheduled for 5 p.m.
