YORK, Pa. – Salisbury University sophomore Peter Moyer won the first Capital Athletic Conference Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week award, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
Moyer started off the week on a high note against Washington College, in a mid-week clash, as he took the top spot in the 200-meter freestyle, posting a time of 1:58.98. Moyer shined again later as he recorded his second win on the day in the 400-meter freestyle notching a time of 4:16.13 and earning another nine points for Salisbury. He would finish the day with 21 points for the maroon and gold.
Salisbury also hosted Penn-St. Altoona over the weekend as the Sea Gull men earned a 140-64 victory over the lions. Moyer would pick up his fourth win of the week as he posted the top time in the 100-meter breast stroke, recording a time of 1:13.28.
Salisbury will host the Barton College Bulldogs in a non-conference meet on Saturday, November 19. The meet is set to begin at 1 p.m.
