Vrahnos named CAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week

YORK Pa. -- The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly tennis awards Tuesday and Salisbury University junior Demetri Vrahnos was named the Men's Player of the Week.

Vrahnos has opened the season with a 4-0 record at No. 3 singles, including a straight-set victory in an early season, CAC battle with defending conference champion the University of Mary Washington. His most recent triumph came on Sunday with a hard-fought three-set victory in the team's 5-4 loss to Methodist University.

Vrahnos has also had early success at No. 2 doubles, partnering with senior Adam Goldberger. The pair has won twice thus far this season.

The Sea Gulls will return to action this Saturday, March 9 at Virginia Wesleyan College. The match is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
