Men's tennis picked to finish third in CAC

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference released its preseason poll for men's tennis on Friday and Salisbury University has been selected to finish third in the league by its coaches.

Salisbury earned 37 points in the preseason poll for the third spot behind the University of Mary Washington, which picked up 47 points and five first-place votes, and Christopher Newport University, which garnered 45 points and three first-place votes.

The Sea Gulls have won their first five matches of the 2018 season, and have seen sophomore Ian Siew named the CAC's first Player of the Week of the year.

The Sea Gulls are next in action on Saturday, March 3 when they take on their first ranked opponent of the year, hosting No. 18 Johns Hopkins University, beginning at 10 a.m., at the Salisbury University Indoor Tennis Center.
