LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Salisbury University softball team closes out the 2016 season as the No. 15 team in the nation with the release of the final National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll.
Salisbury earned 84 points in the closing poll, just six points behind No. 14 Berry College, while the University of Texas-Tyler claimed the top spot, following its national championship win, with all eight first-place votes and a maximum 200 points.
St. John Fisher College went from unranked to No. 2 in the final poll, with 191 points, followed by Messiah College (185 points), Rowan University (172), and Emory University (160).
Salisbury closed the year with a 37-6 record after winning the Capital Athletic Conference championship and advanced to an NCAA regional final.
