Eric Halton earns weekly conference honors

YORK, Pa. – The Capital Athletic Conference league office released weekly honors for the week ending April 30. Salisbury University track & field junior Eric Halton earned conference recognition as he was named the CAC Track & Field Runner of the Week.

Halton turned in an impressive week with solid performances at both the 123rd Penn Relays and the Lions Invitational hosted by The College of New Jersey. Halton helped the 4x400-meter relay team capture a victory in its heat coming home in a time of 3:21.51. With the win the team was awarded a Penn Relays Wheel for their Efforts.

At TCNJ Halton continued his success, capturing a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash. He completed the race in a time of 47.93 seconds edging out his teammate, Zach Schmelz, by just under two seconds.

Salisbury returns to action on May 15 when it travels to Swarthmore College to compete in the SWAT Last Chance Meet. The meet is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
