McGowan will make her second appearance at the NCAA championships competing in her sophomore year as well. She will compete in a field of 22 student-athletes and will begin the competition as the 19th seeded high jumper after clearing the bar at a height of 5' 7.25" at the 2017 Capital Athletic Conference Championships. McGowan earned her third straight high jump CAC championships and spot on the first team this past season. Her jump not only won her the event but also broke the CAC championship meet record, which was originally set by McGowan herself.
Halton will make a return trip to the NCAA championships but his first trip as an individual. His last two trips were as a member of the 4x400-meter relay team. Halton will run in heat 1 of the prelims and was seeded ninth with his time of 47.93 seconds, which he posted at TCNJ back on April 29. Halton captured a first-place finish at the CAC championships earning first team honors after crossing the finish line in a time of 48.11 seconds, which also broke the CAC championship meet.
