DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference released weekly awards for track & field on Wednesday afternoon and recognized Salisbury track & field sophomore Kyleigh Dumas as the Division III South Field Athlete of the Week.
Dumas picked up Capital Athletic Conference honors earlier this week as well for her outstanding performance in the pole vault at the Captains Classic on April 21. Dumas continued her outstanding sophomore campaign raising the bar in the track & field record book again.
She posted a new mark in the pole vault clearing the bar at a height of 12' surpassing her previous record of 11' 5.75" which she set back on March 17 at Coastal Carolina University in its annual Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational.
This is the second time this track & field season Dumas has earned ECAC accolades previously picking up recognition during the indoor season.
Salisbury returns to action on Thursday, April 26 when it travels to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the historic Penn Relays hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.
