DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference released monthly track & field honors on Friday afternoon and Salisbury University freshman Isaiah Myers earned conference recognition as he was named the Rookie of the Month.
Myers has been exceptional thus far in his first outdoor season for the maroon and gold as he has picked up three top-10 finishes, one in an individual event and two in the 4x400-meter relay. At the Blue & Silver Challenge Myers earned an eighth-place finish in the 800-meter run as he crossed the finish line in a mark of 1:59.60.
As part of the 4x400-meter relay team Myers has helped the group to two top-five finishes as the team finished fourth at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational and second at the Blue & Silver Challenge. The team's time of 3:22.35, which it posted at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational, stands currently as the 17th fastest time in the country.
Salisbury returns to action on Saturday, April 6 when it travels to Towson University to compete in the Towson Invite. The meet will start at 9 a.m.
