Men's 4x400 team closes out weekend at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA – The Salisbury University track & field program concluded its weekend at the 125th Penn Relays on Saturday night with the men's 4x400-meter relay team running in the Men's Eastern Final.

After running a season-best time of 3:15.90 and picking up a first-place finish in their heat on Friday night, the team of Alex Hardman, Michael Van Gieson, Jeffrey McInnis, and Ethan Binnix took to the track for the final. The group came home in a time of 3:19.89 to place seventh running against competitors from Division I programs such as Villanova University and University of Pennsylvania.

It marked the first time in program history that a Salisbury team has competed in the Men's Eastern Final.

Salisbury returns to action on Friday, May 3 when it travels to Christopher Newport University for the 2019 Capital Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
