Hackett named ECAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Salisbury University sophomore point guard Anna Hackett has been named ECAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the organization announced Wednesday.

Hackett put up 50 points throughout the Optimist Tournament, 59 for the week, with 26 points against Valley Forge Christian College and 24 against the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. For the week, Hackett averaged 19.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 2.7 steals and shot 54.5 percent from the field. The sophomore led the Sea Gulls in points and steals in all three games for the Gulls.

After two double-digit efforts that led Salisbury to the Optimist Tournament title, Hackett has garnered two Player of the Week accolades this week, earning the CAC Player of the Week on Monday.

The Sea Gulls return to action on Thursday, Dec. 6 against Eastern University on the road at 7 p.m.
