FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The Capital Athletic Conference announced its All-CAC women's basketball teams on Tuesday afternoon and Salisbury University junior Kaylyn French was named to the second team.
French led Salisbury in points, rebounds, steals, and blocks per game, while ranking in the top 11 in the CAC in all four categories. The forward averaged 11.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, recording six double-doubles on the season. The 7.5 rebounds per game were good for sixth in the conference.
The Silver Spring, Maryland native made her presence felt on the defensive end with 2.6 steals and 1.0 block per game, good for sixth and fourth in the conference, respectively.
French recorded a career-high 25 points and season-high 14 rebounds in a 60-46 win against Frostburg State University on February 3.
The second-team honor marks French's first All-CAC honor.
