The Salisbury University women’s basketball team picked up an 86-69 victory over Southern Virginia University in the regular season finale on Saturday afternoon. The Sea Gulls honored their three seniors, Morgan Grubb, Mary McDonagh, and Paige Bryce, before the start of the game. McDonagh scored a career-high 24 points on the afternoon, going 6-for-10 from three-point range. She was also a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line while adding six assists and five rebounds. Grubb tallied 11 points on 5-for-6 shooting from the floor to go along with six assists and four steals in the win. Bryce joined Grubb and McDonagh in double figures with 10 points while pulling down eight of the team’s 38 rebounds. Salisbury has clinched the No. 5 seed in the Capital Athletic Conference playoffs and will travel to take on No. 4 University of Mary Washington in the first round on Tuesday, February 20 at 6 p.m.
