French named CAC Player of the Week

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly awards for women's basketball on Monday afternoon and Salisbury University senior forward Kaylyn French was named the league's Player of the Week for women's basketball.

French helped lead the Sea Gulls to a 78-54 road victory over Neumann University on Saturday afternoon to extend the team's current win streak to three games.

French scored a team-high 17 points in the contest while shooting 72.7% from the field. She added four rebounds and a steal to her stat line during her 15 minutes on the floor.

French and the Sea Gulls will travel to Las Vegas later this week to participate in the Las Vegas Hoopla Tournament. Their first game is scheduled for Wednesday, December 19 against Randolph-Macon College, with opening tip scheduled for 5 p.m. Eastern time.
