Salisbury holds at No. 2 in IWLCA poll
GRAND LAKE, Colo. - The Salisbury University women's lacrosse team remains at No. 2 in this week's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Top 20 poll, the organization announced Tuesday.
The Sea Gulls were again awarded one first-place vote this week and garnered 376 points.
At the top of the poll again this week is Trinity (Conn.) College, holding steady with 19 first-place votes and 396 points. The Bantams begin the defense of their national championship this weekend.
Below the Sea Gulls again this week is the State University of New York at Cortland, with 361 points, while Gettysburg College (339 points) and Middlebury College (316) round out the top five.
Salisbury is next in action on Saturday, traveling to Lexington, Va., to take on Washington and Lee University. That contest is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
