GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The postseason awards continued to come in for the No. 9 Salisbury University women's lacrosse team as the Sea Gulls had two named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association 2017 Division III All-American teams, the organization announced on Friday.
Kelleher earns her first IWLCA All-American honor of her career. The Ellicott City, Maryland native has been a dominant performer on defense for the Sea Gulls, tallying a career-high and team-leading 26 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers. Along with being named to the IWLCA All-Region first team a week ago, Kelleher also earned Capital Athletic Conference first-team All-CAC honors.
Hynson, alongside Kelleher also earned All-American honors for the first time in her career after capturing first-team All-Region and first-team All-CAC honors this season. The Catonsville, Maryland native has had a career year for Salisbury, leading the team in draw controls with a career-high 36, and 14 caused turnovers, good for third on the squad. Hynson has also notched 12 goals and two assists for her efforts.
The duo bumps Salisburys All-American total to 59 in program history, including 33 first teamers.
The Sea Gulls now look forward to the NCAA tournament's third round against Ithaca College on Saturday, May 20 at 2:30 p.m.
