FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Capital Athletic Conference announced its weekly women's lacrosse awards on Monday and Salisbury University junior attacker Courtney Fegan was named the league's co-Offensive Player of the Week.
Fegan earned the honor after notching a career-high seven goals in Salisbury's final game of the regular season, a 20-8 win over St. Mary's College of Maryland. Fegan bested her previous career high of four goals, which she tallied once this season and once last season.
In addition to her seven goals, Fegan picked up a team-high four groundballs and tied a team high with six draw controls.
For the season, Fegan is third on the team with 24 goals and 19 draw controls.
No. 3 Salisbury returns to action on Wednesday, May 2 against Christopher Newport University. The Sea Gulls and Captains will square off in the CAC semifinals at 4 p.m. at Sea Gull Stadium.
