VIDEO: Women's Lacrosse vs. Franklin & Marshall
The third ranked Salisbury University women’s lacrosse team used a 10-goal second half to defeat No. 10 Franklin & Marshall College 15-4 in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon. Courtney Fegan led the way with four goals, three of which came on assists from Alissa Talbert. Fegan tallied two goals in each half for the Sea Gulls, including the first two of the game for Salisbury, who moved to 10-0 with the win. Dana King found Fegan for her other goal, which was one of King’s two assists in the game. Talbert dished out a career-high six assists to go along with one goal on the afternoon. Talbert now has a team-leading 15 assists on the season. Lindsey Wagner notched a hat trick, including two of the final three goals of the game for the Sea Gulls. Wagner broke the 3-3 tie with just under five minutes to go in the first half, giving Salisbury the lead for good. Gianna Falcone and the Salisbury defense held the Diplomats to just four goals, the third straight game in which their opponents have scored five goals or fewer. Falcone made 13 saves in the game, including eight in the second half. Salisbury returns to action on Saturday, March 31 as the team hosts Southern Virginia University at 11 a.m.
