VIDEO: Women's Lacrosse vs. Washington and Lee
The Salisbury University women’s lacrosse team took on No. 8 Washington and Lee University on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Generals 12-8 in a battle of two top 10 teams. Senior Dana King scored six goals in the second half to secure the victory for the Sea Gulls. King’s six goals came on just seven shots, with two coming on free position shots. King also picked up three ground balls on the afternoon. Senior Krissy Murphy tallied two goals and three assists for Salisbury, who moved to 3-0 with the win. Murphy also came up with three draw controls in the game. Allie Hynson scored two goals while causing three turnovers, scooping up four groundballs, and coming up with seven draw controls. Hynson added this nice assist to King on the final goal of the game, taking it all the way from the draw. Gianna Falcone made six saves in a little over 48 minutes of action to pick up the win, including two on free position shots. Salisbury concludes its three-game home stand on Tuesday, March 6 against Rowan University at 4 p.m.
